To address the reduction of our carbon footprint, we have implemented several initiatives in our restaurants. Firstly, we prioritise purchasing local products whenever possible, reducing transport emissions and supporting local farmers. Additionally, we actively seek suppliers who share our commitment to sustainable practices, such as using eco-friendly packaging and promoting responsible waste management.
One of our most important sustainability initiatives is our partnership with Semear, a social organisation dedicated to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through this partnership, we have established a direct link with Semear Terra, where organic vegetables are grown by people with intellectual disabilities. By purchasing these organic vegetables, we support sustainable agriculture and contribute to the integration of these individuals into society.
Furthermore, we collaborate with Academia Semear, a training programme that equips people with intellectual disabilities with the skills necessary for employment. We offer job opportunities in our restaurants for these individuals, promoting inclusion and creating a diverse workforce. This not only improves their quality of life but also fosters a more inclusive society that values the unique talents and contributions of all individuals.
In addition to our environmental and social initiatives, we also prioritise strong governance practices within our organisation. We maintain ethical business practices, transparent communication, and accountability in all our operations. We continuously assess and enhance our ESG performance, striving to align our business goals with the best interests of our stakeholders and the broader community.
